JOB RESPONSIBILITY
- Lead and manage a team of Engineers and Technicians to ensure daily operation matters are handled on time and that department requirements are met
- Assist in developing, preparing, and managing the department’s budget, ensuring all expenditures for repairs and maintenance are reasonable and cost-effective
- Plan, schedule, and evaluate preventative maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and efficiency of equipment. Monitor the implementation of and follow up on ongoing preventive maintenance programs
- Continuously enhance service and maintenance levels to provide the best solutions for any issues in the property Strengthen communications within internal departments and with partners to provide a better environment for our valuable guests
- Manage the property and physical plant, including equipment, builder, fit-out, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing & drainage, water treatment, electrical, and fire safety systems, ensuring they are effective, efficient, and safe.
- Monitor the effects of servicing and maintenance on their condition
- Make thoughtful decisions in high-pressure environments and be responsible for the actions, results, successes, and failures of the team. Be available on call 24 hours a day for emergencies
- Anticipate needs, prevent and solve problems, adapt goals and direction quickly, manage people, projects, time; and quality, motivate and lead staff with diverse skill levels, multi-task, and set priorities
- Complete and provide all regular reports and statistics required by the Management. Maintain an efficient record and filing system as necessary
- Ensures building and equipment licenses, permits and certifications are current
- Allocate on site resources for different works order
- Conduct regular walk through in the property to anticipate and to rectify any engineering related issues
- Monitor and ensure the quality of performance and workmanship of both outsourced and in-house repair and maintenance works
- Supervise Facilities Management team onsite works to ensure safety and quality
- Recommend or arrange additional services such as painting, repair work, renovations, and the replacement of furnishings and equipment for the proper upkeep of facilities
- Identify the root cause of incidents and compile comprehensive reporting within required timeframes
- Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities in order to determine the type of work required
- Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned
JOB SPECIFICATION
- At least 12 years’ job experience in related areas such as Electrical, Mechanical & environmental engineering knowledge inclusive of 3 years of management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in the engineering or Facilities Management field is preferred
- Experienced in handling the full spectrum of hotel and resort development projects
- Proactive, strong analytical mind, good problem-solving and supervisory skills
- Good command of both spoken and written Chinese and English
